SUPACAT 6X6

The Supacat 6x6 amphibious extreme terrain vehicle (ETV) was developed for the Ministry of Defence following the Falklands war which highlighted the requirement to carry personnel and supplies across difficult terrain. These vehicles are manufactured in the UK and now operate in multiple militaries around the World as well as with civilian operators.

Power is provided by a VW diesel engine with an automatic gearbox which is  transferred to all six wheels by chain drive. Its unconventional steering system turns the forward and middle wheels but also has the option to skid steer for enhanced manoeuvrability.
